The post holder will be part of a wider clinical research team based at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience and King’s College Hospital, working on a longitudinal study on the neuroimaging predictors of stroke recovery. The post holder will be directly involved in the recruitment of stroke patients from the hospital ward for a duration of 7 months (maternity cover). The successful candidate will carry out highly specialist clinical neuropsychological assessments focusing on left-hemispheric language functions (such as the WAB, BNT etc) and right- hemispheric visuo-spatial attention (such as the BIT, Rey figure etc) in acute and chronic stroke patients. The post holder will be expected to screen patients for MRI suitability, accompany patients to the MRI and arrange travel for the patient to and from the hospital scanner. The selection process will include a 10 minute presentation about how previous work fits in with the project and an interview with competency based questions.
