Luca Pugliese

Dr Luca Pugliese’s main research interest is in the anatomical and functional determinants of high cognitive function and abnormalities leading to neuropsychiatry disorder.
He undertook his clinical training at the University of Perugia (Italy). His research training was firstly at the department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine of the University of Perugia Italy; and then at the Institute of Psychiatry (IOP) London.
Dr Luca Pugliese is currently conducting tractography studies of language and limbic pathways in psychiatric disorders including autism and schizophrenia. He recently discovered that the very first dissection of the nervous system was peformed a few miles away from his native town, Crotone (2600 years ago!)
